Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CoinFeed (“CoinFeed”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our Discord bot and web dashboard (together, the “Service”). CoinFeed posts live cryptocurrency prices to Discord channels and lets you look up tokens by contract address. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service. We do not read your messages, and we do not sell your data.
From the Discord bot
- Your Discord user ID (not your email or password).
- Server (guild) data: the server ID and name, the channel IDs you configure for price feeds, and the Discord user IDs / role IDs granted permission to manage feeds.
- Feed & tracking configuration: the tokens you track (chain, contract address, symbol/name), posting interval, format, chart setting, and price-alert conditions you create.
- Operational records: subscription tier/status for your account or server, last-posted / last-triggered timestamps, and alert-delivery history (including the price at the time an alert fired).
From the web dashboard (Discord login)
- When you sign in, we use Discord OAuth with the scopes
identify, guilds, andguilds.join. This lets us see your basic Discord profile (ID, username, avatar) and the list of servers you belong to, so we can show the servers you’re allowed to manage. We do not request your email address. - To keep you signed in, we store a hashed session token and an encrypted copy of the Discord access/refresh tokens needed to re-check your manageable servers. These are deleted when you log out or when they expire.
Automatically
- Basic technical logs (e.g. error and request diagnostics) used to keep the Service running and secure. We avoid storing personal data in logs beyond the identifiers above.
How we use information
- To deliver the core Service — post price feeds, run lookups, and send the alerts you set.
- To enforce plan limits (e.g. number of feeds, posting interval) and manage subscriptions.
- To authenticate you on the dashboard and determine which servers you can manage.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, debug problems, and improve the Service.
How information is shared
We share data only with the service providers needed to operate CoinFeed:
- Discord — the platform the Service runs on. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord’s own Privacy Policy and Terms.
- Price data providers (DexScreener, GeckoTerminal) — we send token contract addresses to fetch prices. We do not send your personal information to them.
- AI provider (Anthropic) — where an AI market-summary feature is used, token price/volume data is sent to generate a summary. No personal identifiers are included.
- Hosting/infrastructure — our servers and database, used solely to run the Service.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the Service and its users.
Payments
CoinFeed does not process automated payments at this time. Paid plans are arranged manually, so we do not collect or store your payment-card or banking details. If automated billing is added in the future, this Policy will be updated and any payment processing will be handled by a dedicated payment provider under its own terms.
Data retention
- Configuration data (tracked tokens, feeds, alerts, managers) is kept while it is in use and removed when you delete it — e.g. untracking a token or removing a feed deletes its related records.
- If the bot is removed from a server, that server’s feed and manager configuration is no longer used and can be deleted on request.
- Session tokens expire automatically and are deleted on logout.
- Limited alert-history records may be retained for reliability and abuse-prevention, then removed on request or in the ordinary course of maintenance.
Your rights and choices
- You can view, edit, or delete your tracked tokens, alerts, and feeds at any time via the bot or dashboard.
- You can log out to revoke your dashboard session, and remove CoinFeed from a server at any time.
- You may request access to, or deletion of, the data associated with your Discord account or server by contacting us (see below). We’ll act on valid requests within a reasonable time.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data — session tokens are hashed, third-party tokens are encrypted at rest, and access is limited to what the Service needs. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
CoinFeed is not directed to anyone under the minimum age required to use Discord in their country (at least 13). We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we’ll announce them on our support server.
